Red Manhattan
“As I went by the elegant coffee shop, it rained that night. A gorgeous redhead with full lips and blue eye-shadow around her slanted eyes caught my eye in the large window.
“There was a look of sadness on her face. Her eyes projected a downcast over the mug of coffee. The coffee’s steam offered her the only solace. A lone tear then rolled down her cheek. I shared in the beautiful woman’s pain. I then entered the coffee shop. A smiling waitress, holding a menu, waited for me to be seated. I mentioned to her I preferred sitting at the table with the redheaded woman.
“Approaching the table, I took off my coat and draped it over my arm. I halted at the woman’s table. Startled, she looked up and I saw her eyes were violet. She puckered her lips into a heart shape.
“It was you?” She asked.
“I remained silent and sat opposite her. Raindrops spattered the window, creating a misty film as we looked outside during the storm.”
That concluded Detective David Massey’s account of Red Manhattan. He called the gorgeous redhead he’d previously encountered that night at the coffee shop.
He was following her.
The mysterious redhead, accused of killing six people in Manhattan, is unaware that David knows she wrote him a letter seeking help. Detective Massey pursued the redhead after reading several other letters penned by Red Manhattan. Massey suspects her actions, but secretly doubts the redhead’s guilt in the six murders. Yet, Red Manhattan is who all the evidence points to.
Only one problem preventing Massey from moving forward.
He can’t prove the redhead’s murdered the six people.
An amazing discovery!
Red Manhattan connects to the six murders.
The shocking discovery astounds those who know her.
A stylish 1950s story, Red Manhattan, features a woman accused of murdering six people for the sheer excitement and drama. The clues make sense, but the murders don’t. The responsibility of solving the crimes falls on Massey.
